This month’s AFRO-DUB SESSIONS<\/strong> will feature an Africa-inspired guest set by AMIR<\/b> from the world-renown record-collecting duo Kon and Amir<\/a>. <\/p>\n For years, AMIR<\/b> has been sharing his ridiculously deep knowledge of music by compiling rare grooves for Kon and Amir<\/a>\u2019s legendary Kings of Diggin\u2019<\/i>, On Track<\/i>, and Off Track<\/i> releases on BBE Records. This includes the just-released Off Track III<\/i><\/a> mix CD, which features eclectic African disco and soul from the period following Fela Kuti\u2019s mid-70s creative peak.<\/p>\n AMIR<\/b> also heads the record label arm of Wax Poetics<\/a> magazine.<\/p>\n The night also will feature two performances by SUPER HI-FI<\/a>, the resident Afro-Dub band which has been packing the house with their creative melding of Afrobeat and Dub.<\/p>\n SLF resident DJ’s LINH<\/b>, Q-MASTAH<\/b> and LIL TIGER<\/b> will keep the party popping on the decks.
